Executive Assistant & Client Relations Specialist
Jennifer (Jen) joined Financial Services of Virginia in 2026. As Executive Assistant & Client Relations Specialist for C. Wayne LaPlante, she serves as a key liaison between clients and advisors, providing exceptional service and administrative support while helping ensure the smooth operations of our financial advisory practice.
Jen graduated from Auburn University with an undergraduate degree in Secondary Mathematics Education in 2014. She taught high school math in Mississippi for four years while her husband, Stephen, attended medical school at UMMC. They moved to Richmond in June of 2018 and fell in love with the state of Virginia, deciding to put down roots when Stephen finished his training in 2024.
Prior to joining FSV, Jen served with the children’s ministry at Second Baptist Church. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their twins, Henry and Charlotte. They love family weekend trips to Williamsburg, Charlottesville, Roanoke, and Raleigh, as well as longer trips abroad, visiting their extended family and exploring new places.
